Beaches

Vathi

A quiet and lovely long curving sheltered sandy beach with a naturist segment, sunloungers  at one end and great views towards the seventeenth century church of Taxiarches on a small promontory. The beach is lined by a gaggle of tavernas selling freshly caught seafood.

Apokofto

Another sandy beach with crystal clear water and a couple of excellent tavernas. The beach is framed by the seventeenth century Chrisopigi monastery perched on a rocky promontory, to this day a place of pilgrimage for the islanders.

Glypho

A short stroll from the harbor of Faros, a sheltered sandy beach lined with tamarisk trees.

Kamares

The port has a Blue Flag sandy beach where one can rent sun‐loungers and watch the comings and goings.

But there are many others waiting to be explored.
